Where’s the Democrat outrage over Schumer’s relationship, perhaps even close relationship, with Putin? Photos have also surfaced of other key liberals meeting with the Russians — Nancy Pelosi included.
Schumer eagerly welcomed Putin to NYC just as Lukoil– a Russian oil company, opened a gas station in Manhattan. They went out for coffee and donuts to celebrate the first Russian gas station in the city.
“When I showed the president of Russia a Krispy Kreme doughnut and he ate it and said it was good, that was one of the more surreal moments I’ve had in politics,” Senator Schumer said when relaying how he spent the day with the Russian leader.
At the time, no one, in either political party, flipped out about the Senator meeting with Vladimir Putin. It was not even front page news.
Senators meet with foreign dignitaries all the time. It’s considered normal, unless it is a Trump surrogate doing the meet-and-greet, then it is considered treason or an impeachable offense by some very hypocritical Democrats.
