“Happy to report that dad is feeling great and will be back on the road, Music and Love are a healing combination,” Willie Nelson’s son said regarding his father’s health. But it looks like that was maybe a false hope as it sounds like the country singer superstar is on his last breath.
Willie Nelson has canceled his upcoming concerts in Sahuarita, Arizona on Friday, February 10th, and Albuquerque, New Mexico, due to illness. Organizers at the Desert Diamond Casino and Route 66 Casino, are working with the legendary entertainer’s staff to reschedule the shows but new dates have yet to be released. Refunds are available at points of sale.
This is not good news for the man who has brought so many smiles to the faces of his fans. He has long been regarded as one of the greats in the country music industry and it would be a huge loss.
He was a nominee for a Grammy this year even at his old age. It is a fact that Willie is fighting to stay alive, but one of these days the news might not be so good, and he needs to prepare for that.
His family and fans have been extremely supportive during his illness and they continue to be by his side with him every step of the way. They know how important this man is in the lives of so many of his fans and they hope he will be able to continue to do shows soon. But they also know not to be too optimistic about the whole thing, as a man of this age, you never know what could happen.
But there is some good news that is coming out of this story. Just yesterday Willie made a surprise visit to a concert after missing several of his shows. He showed up at SXSW to play a few songs and be with his fans. He is set to release another album of April 28th of this year.
