Professor Who Says U.S. Soldier Being Given First-Class Seat On Flight Makes Him Want To “VOMIT” Just Got CRUSHED By Servicemen

Drexel University is a private university in Philadelphia that offers its more than 26,000 students degree programs in the arts, business and economics, engineering and computers, media and design as well as graduate degrees in nursing, medicine and biomedical sciences, law, education, and even hospitality and sports management.

The school boasts of “Greek life,” 33 active club sports and even a cable television station run by students all for nearly $60,000 annual tuition and housing.

Unfortunately, it also lays claim to having a real jerk as a professor.

George Ciccariello-Maher is an associate professor of political science specializing in colonialism, social movements, political theory, Latin America, and race and racism,” according to his online resumé, but it would appear that he actually specializes in tweeting offensive comments about subjects for attention.

After Ciccariello-Maher garnered international attention last Christmas Eve for tweeting the holiday message, “All I want for Christmas is white genocide” the university issued a response distancing itself from the comments it called “utterly reprehensible,” “deeply disturbing” and not reflective of the values of the school.

Now, a mere three months later, he is at it again, this time managing to insult the military and soldiers’ families at the same time.

Apparently, the mere sight of a civilian giving up his first-class seat for a man in uniform triggered a physical reaction in the sensitive academic.

“Some guy gave up his first class seat for a uniformed soldier. People are thanking him. I’m trying not to vomit or yell about Mosul.”

Unsurprisingly, Ciccariello-Maher again drew a response as the “Twitterverse” erupted with thousands of tweets from people who found this comment, like his Christmas Eve tweet, reprehensible.

“Unpatriotic” was the least of the adjectives used in the tweets.

One soldier’s mother tweeted, As a mother of a wounded soldier, who fought for HIS freedom, I have 3 words for HIM- GO TO HELL!”

A man hit the mark with, “I’m sorry you need attention. It’s adorable, but let’s see you say that to a Marine’s face. Tweet after you do, if you can…”

Others took aim at Drexel for employing Ciccariello-Maher calling on alumni to withhold contributions – and their kids’ tuition. “Drexel University should fire Prof George Ciccariello-Maher for his ‘tried not to vomit’ comment. DO NOT SEND YOU KIDS TO DREXEL UNIV.”

One gut-wrenching tweet underscored the cruelty of the professor’s comment. “I’ve worked w Vietnam Vets w PTSD. This tweet literally made me sick to my stomach. Life’s easy from the cheap seats.”

But possibly the best response came from Townhall columnist and veteran Kurt Schlichter, who tweeted, “You tried not to vomit or yell? No, you just sat there quietly like a little b****. Ignored, irrelevant, wishing you were a man.”

Odds are Ciccariello-Maher will take to Twitter again – it feeds his pre-pubescent need for attention while not having to actually face the people he insults.

Drexel University’s students – all 26,000 of them – deserve better, as do the parents who are writing the tuition checks.
