Obama: “White Americans” Need to Shut Up About “Reverse Discrimination”

Are you a white person who isn’t happy with the way that President Barack Obama has handled the country? Well, then Barack would like to know why you’re not giving him enough credit, you racist!

That’s at least the implicit message of an unhinged, racist address our country’s chief executive gave Thursday in Elkhart County, Indiana. In it, he decried Republicans campaigning against “welfare queens” and talking about “makers and takers.”

“Their basic message is anti-government, anti-immigrant, anti-trade, and let’s face it — it’s anti-change,” Obama said, according to Breitbart.

“What they are saying just isn’t true,” said Obama, failing to provide any evidence for his claims (you know, like the workforce participation being at record hi … oh wait, whoops. Never mind).

Because of conservative radio and the right, Obama argued, “White Americans think that reverse discrimination is as big a problem as discrimination against minorities.”

His argument to back up his racist assertion was that black unemployment was twice as high as white unemployment and that Hispanic women earn 55 cents to the dollar that every white man earns. Without taking apart those dubious numbers, it’s worth pointing out that he fell into the old liberal trap of believing equality of opportunity is not enough: We need equality of outcomes, no matter what the cost.

“It’s the story that is broadcast every day on some cable news stations, on right wing radio it’s pumped into cars and bars and VFW halls all across America and right here in Elkhart,” he said. “If you’re hearing that story all the time, you start believing it. It’s no wonder people start thinking big government is the problem.”

It’s a wonder nobody in Obama’s staff noted the sickeningly condescending aspect of his phraseology. It’s as if he were telling the beleaguered working class, “You guys just don’t know how good you have it, do you? Jeez.”

I also like how he assumes right wing radio is being pumped into “VFW halls across America.” It’s as if his stereotypes weren’t on display enough, so he decided to go all in.
