There is a petition out there that s going against First Lady Melania Trump. The petition spells out the amount of money it costs to keep Melania safe while she is in New York City. Look, we can’t sugarcoat this — it is a large amount of money.
But it is nothing compared to how much the Obamas costed the American public. They never had any problems with Michelle’s countless vacations and outings. But then again, didn’t we all kind of expect this? Of course this is going to be what it looks like when it’s a First Lady of a Republican President.
“Make Melania Trump stay in the White House or pay for the expenses herself,” reads the petition. It will be sent to Senator Elizabeth Warren’s desk very soon.
The Trumps have been living apart since President Donald Trump took office on Jan. 20. Other than her visits to Washington for events and a few weekends when both went to their Mar-a-Lago resort in Florida.
“The U.S. taxpayer is paying an exorbitant amount of money to protect the first lady in Trump Tower, located in New York City,” the text reads. “As to help relieve the national debt, this expense yields no positive results for the nation and should be cut from being funded.”
New York City officials estimate the cost of keeping Melania and Barron Trump safe is between $127,000-$146,000 per day. That amount of money still does not even come close to what the Obamas ate through.
The worst part about this specific petition is the fact that she has said she is going to join President Trump in the White House when Barron finishes the school year. Apparently that wasn’t enough for the liberals.
Melania and Donald Trump deserve protection for their entire family, no matter where they are. Do you agree?
